  1. Muv-Luv Feedback

There have been some issues raised by fans about the new version of the game, and some people who think that it's been made worse than the original by the changes. We absolutely don'twant the updated Muv-Luv to disappoint fans like that, so please share your feedback here so we can take a look at it. I've also migrated some feedback from a prior thread into this one.
  2. [Old] Muv-Luv Alternative Strike Frontier

@haloff1has volunteered to make and maintain a new thread (as this thread's original poster was banned for infractions a while ago). As a result, I've renamed and locked this thread. Future replies should go here:
  3. Hi!

I've deleted Vhk38a's comment. I've also banned them, because all of their posts are rude and uncivil.
  4. [PSA] There was an update

I've deleted the uncivil comment by Vhk38a. In the future, they should try to be polite on these forums. (I've also edited @haloff1's post to remove the quote, which was a full duplication of the infringing post—this is not considered a mark against them, andthey are not at fault in any way)
  5. Muv-Luv Feedback

To "stick one's nose into" is more idiomatic in English, so that's a good one to bring up. I'll check that line.
  6. Muv-Luv Feedback

I'll make sure that line gets checked.

Yep, "double standard" should not behyphenated I think Meiya isemphasizing her closeness to Takeru here (she's "made herself at home"), so that's likely a deliberate choice Takahashi is fairly formal—but does occasionally use more informal speech, so this one will have to be checked against the original text Campus can be used for high schools, but is most commonly used for places of higher education (and occasionally for institutions). In my Canadian high school I never heard it used to refer to the school grounds, but I can look into the regionality of the term. "discontent" is actually different from "discontented"—to be "discontent" is to be "not pleased or satisfied", whereas to be "discontented" is to be "not happy with your situation, position, etc.;not contented". They're fairly close in both meaning and spelling, but the Merriam Webster definitions and example sentences are worth a glance: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/discontent http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/discontented Thanks for sharing your thoughts! We'll be sure to make corrections. This would be nice, but only works if we have a finalized script ready for the beta (alas, we didn't this time). We'll see how our schedule is for Alternative, haha.

That apostrophe inconsistency should be fixed (nice catch), but the "wide" hyphens are actually typographically correct—they're known as em dashes, andhavea number of uses.
  9. Muv-Luv Feedback

I thought you were native, but figured that you would have been working with people who were perhaps non-native (but who still rejected your corrections). Could have been clearer there myself. That's strange. Save slots seem to have an issue with dates, so it might be related to that. We'll give it a look, thanks!

@rlranft: Shame they didn't take your advice at that paper. I've met a lot of native English writers with a worse grasp of the language than you have @robotization: When I get back to my headphones I'll compare the clips. @both:Thanks for your sharp eyes on the script! We'll make sure those get fixed.
  11. Muv-Luv Feedback

@rlranftNice catch on the beared/bore thing (though technically it should beborne, because it's preceded by "have"). We'll fix that. As you've noted, the arcade voice-over would need to be redone to fix the grammar and wordingissues. I can't promise anything on that front, but I'll still pass it on. Thanks for the detailed screenshots and explanations!
  12. Muv-Luv Feedback

@MkilbrideWhile Waifu2x is definitely fun to play with, I'm afraid it's not productive to this feedback thread beyond what's already been expressed on the CG front. I'm afraid that there's very little to be done about it that hasn't already been noted and passed on to the devs, and we'll get back to you with news when we have it. You're free to continue experimenting with Waifu2x, but I'd appreciate if you continue it in a separate threadso we can keep this one focused on issues that haven't yet been properly documented. That helps us address and fix problems much quicker. Thanks.
  13. Muv-Luv Feedback

@robotizationThank you for the super-detailed reports, and especially for those videos. They help immensely. The ellipsis error (2 instead of 3) is also fixed now, though it won't be pushed out until the next big script update to avoid breaking saves. Sharp eye!
  14. Muv-Luv Feedback

Yep. To elaborate, the text style has been changed to match Alternative. That means it's center-aligned, appears all at once, and doesn't have a text box behind it. Another issue is that in age's modern iterations of their VN engine, they simply don't support scrolling text anymore. Glad that it doesn't seem to bother you, though
  15. Muv-Luv Feedback

If it's jumping suddenly then that partisa bug. I'll take a look at it—thanks for the explanation.
  16. Muv-Luv Feedback

Ah, the fast speech is intentional—Tsukiyomi is talking really fast during her rant, so it's actually not meant to progress at a comfortable reading speed. It's meant toemphasize how overwhelming the wall of text is. If there's something else going on there, though, I can take a look at it.
  17. Muv-Luv Feedback

@jmaisonetThat's an interesting bug, because the script (we just checked)actually has spaces there. Could be abug related to how lines are merged—Tsukiyomi's rant is actually made up of multiple independent lines that are combined by the game's engine—so we're looking into it. Thanks for letting usknow!
  18. Muv-Luv Feedback

@MkilbrideTo quote from Aalt: We can't stop you talking about it. Just don't do it here.
  19. Muv-Luv Feedback

Just a reminder, everyone, that these are the official forums, and that it puts us in a tough spot if you discuss hacking the game here. I don't like doing it, butI may need to hand out temporary bans if it continues. It also doesn't really fit in a feedback thread. We're really trying to collect legitimate data on how to improve the game, and derailing the topic makes that more difficult. Thanks!
  20. Muv-Luv Feedback

Thanks for the details and confirmation on the audio pop issue. We'll look into it.
  21. Muv-Luv Feedback

I'll push for it, but a couple of factors will determine how high up the priority queue it is. I'd like to see it fixed, myself.
  22. Muv-Luv Feedback

Could be. I'll need to confirm that as part of the documenting process (unless someonehas already taken a screenshot of the scene in the original release and can share it, in which case that would save me hunting it down for comparison). Should really be fixed either way, though. Looks unpolished.
  23. Muv-Luv Feedback

Believe me, that's one feature that would make my life easier as well, haha.
  24. Muv-Luv Feedback

@StormVanguardThanks for the screenshots and elaboration—that helps a lot. I'll look into those and see what can be done.
  25. Muv-Luv Feedback

We appreciate it Steam forums can be exhausting to manage. And yeah, it's always amazing when people can supply screenshots or video of their problem. Sometimes, especially with issues that might be hard to reproduce, it can be difficult to figure out what's going wrong. Also, sometimes the odd person on our team might be less familiar with the script than most of us, so screenshots help them tell where the issue is happening. Really saves us a lot of time and helps us address issues faster.
