Yeah, because most of the time they're walking around saying things like 超ベリバ and ダサイandマジで. As for the dude argument, I can't say that I really care whether people call me dude, and I've been all around the USA and Japan. I see it as a term of endearment, since I usually only say 'dude' around people I feel comfortable around. In fact, it feels weird to have people avoid calling me dude at this point, because I start to wonder whether or not they consider me a friend or not. I couldn't see it as being insolent at all, unless he were saying "dude" to UL Tsukuyomi. But as for Extra Tsukuyomi, I wouldn't see a problem with it.Having lived in Japan, andbased on Takeru's speech patterns, he's absolutely the kinda dude who'd say "dude" to just about anybody he considers close to him. We were aware that there might be some issues with slang in terms of regional differences, but we also needed to find a decent common ground that we could settle on. Since the editing team hails from various places around the world, the issues were discussed, and we came to a compromise that as long as we didn't go overboard (save for one scene), there would be no problem using slang we considered appropriate. I've noticed there are some people who are worried about the slang carrying over to Alternative. Well, worry not! Takeru tones down on his slang about halfway through UL after getting tired of having to explain himself to everybody. You likely aren't going to see a whole lot of crazy slang flung all willy-nilly in Alternative. Oh yeah, and hi everybody! First post and all. Figured this would probably be the kind of discussion that needed a woman's touch.
